ORCHESTRATION
I've been writing orchestra for almost as long as I have been writing music. But to offer it as a service to others is a fairly new thing to me. So i'm offering it for a great deal right now!
WHO AM I?
My name is Christofer Swahn.
I'm a extreme metal producer with over 20 years of studio experience producing, recording, mixing and mastering bands. Located in Östersund, Sweden.
I've played in several bands. Worked with both FOH and monitor sound. Played and worked on tours. Instrument maintenance. Design and photography/videography and so much more.
All of these are experiences I take into account when producing a band. Whether it's full production from start to finish or just mixing and mastering.
The past years I decided to focus solely on extreme metal, as that's what I feel I am the best at, and it's closest to my heart.
I love gear, buying, building, modifying. And I use them as tools to create a unique sonic imprint on all the bands I work with. But they are only tools and what's most important is your song.
My producing style is a pretty no nonsense approach. Your song is the star, and we're all going to do the best work we possibly can to make it shine, no matter what it takes!

Robin Leijon is the the original Producer, Engineer, Mixer- & Mastering Engineer. This is only a portfolio mix where i have the chance to show my own sonic imprint and vision for the band.
THE STUDIO
In the studio we can record vocals, guitars, bass and acoustic instruments. I have a wide collection of high quality preamps and microphones for all situations.I also have a wide collection of guitar/bass pedals and instruments that's ready for use. The studio is streamlined to be able to add ideas to a song within seconds.
For drums or full band recordings I like to bring my mobile rig to either another studio, or a spot of your/our choosing. The rig consists of 20 high quality preamps, a headphone system for several musicians. All the stands, cables and holders needed. All is set up for quick connections to make the setup time as short as possible and give us more time to make slamming songs.
The mixing setup is based around a hybrid workflow, where I gain the best aspects of analog and combine it with the flexibility of digital. I love vintage, unique sounding gear that has a certain sonic imprint on the music.
The mastering setup is based on the same as the mixing setup, with a hybrid workflow. Getting the sound, depth and space of analog, but the flexibility of digital.
MOBILE RIG
The rig is based around 20 recording channels.
With preamps from Audient, API (clones), Line Audio, DBX and Auditronics.
The monitoring is built to be easy to shape so you can hear everything great. This helps you focus less on what you hear and focus more on your performance. And enough outputs for a full band.
MIXING/MASTERING SETUP
The mixing setup is based around 16 analog channels and a digitally controlled enviorment. By mixing into the analog gear it gives me a very solid starting point. This makes me very fast and efficient as i dont have to start from scratch every single time.
The mastering setup is based around the same principle.
MICROPHONES
The microphone collection have been hand picked to be able to handle any given situation.
With mics from Shure, AKG, Sennheiser, Audix, Oktava, Line Audio, Sony, a bunch of DIY ones and more.
OUTBOARD GEAR
The outboard collection is always growing and is a mix of some of the more typical pieces and some very unique ones.

MONITORING
Monitoring is based on a Focal system that's tuned specifically for my room. This keeps the guesswork out of the equation and translates to the outside world very well.
